Watch out for wet snow on sunny slopes on S exposures.
In the Tatras and Low Tatras there is only a SMALL avalanche danger = 1st degree. Snow cover is generally stable. During the last snowfall period up to 5 cm of new snow fell, which has settled and stabilized. Avalanche release is possible only sporadically on exposed southern slopes, especially with the arrival of midday and warming temperatures. Spontaneous avalanches are not expected.
Snowpack
During Saturday, the weather will be influenced by the interface between high and low pressure, with a peak in warm air. Expect clear and warm weather. Snow cover is generally stable. The snow from the last snowfall period has been remade and has settled. Depending on orientation, continuous snow cover is between 1300 and 1700 m above sea level. Its height reaches 30 to 150 cm, with the most snow in the Low Tatras.
