Watch out for wet snow on sunny slopes after a slight warming.
In the Tatras and Low Tatras there is only a Low avalanche danger, 1st degree. Snow cover is generally stable. Up to 5 cm of new snow has fallen during the last snowfall period. Avalanche release is possible only sporadically on exposed southern slopes after a slight warming. Spontaneous avalanches are not expected.
Snowpack
Snow cover is stable. Up to 5 cm of new snow was added locally on the old, hard snow during Monday. The new snow is very unevenly distributed. Depending on the orientation, the continuous snow cover is between 1300 and 1700 m above sea level. Its height reaches 30 to 150 cm, with the most snow in the Low Tatras.
