<avalancheActivityHighlights>In the High, Western and Low Tatras there is only a small avalanche danger, level 1.</avalancheActivityHighlights>
<avalancheActivityComment>Due to a slight cooling (at altitudes above 1800 m the air temperature is below 0°C) the snow cover has stabilised. Avalanches are only possible on isolated very steep slopes, especially with high additional loads. Spontaneous avalanches are not expected.</avalancheActivityComment>
<snowpackStructureComment>As a result of the previous and subsequent cooling, the snow cover at high altitudes froze and stabilised. The continuous snow cover in the Low Tatras occurs from an altitude of about 1100 m and reaches 50 to 80 cm at the highest altitudes. In the Western and High Tatras the snow is from about 1400 m above sea level and reaches mostly only up to 50 cm.</snowpackStructureComment>
